I have a used Graphotype, Addressograph/Multigraph Corp. It is rusted because it's been outside for a long time. We didn't know there was a whole "community" about these. Actually thought we wouldn't be able to find anything out about them. Any help or advice anyone can give me would be great.

Where are you located?

The 6381 machine is an upper and lower case electric 6300 Class machine. They are great machines if taken care of and operational.

Based upon your serial number your machine was made in the late 1950's.

Take some photos and post them we will tell you if it appears anything is missing.

I live in Florida and will post a picture as soon as I get the chance to take one. What I'm wondering is if there are collectors of these things out there. I have searched the internet and am truly surprised how important these early Graphotypes are to history.

Collectors - well sort of.
Mostly people want these machines to make military dog tags.
But yes there are collectors though they are few and far between.
